A very interesting match was played on ■ Thursday afternoon between the Mariat Brothera* School (Timaru) and the Shamrock Football Club (Marist School, Christ-, church). The Timaru team had the advantage in weight, but the local boys held their own throughout, and when " no side " was called neither Hide had scored. The game thus ended in a draw. The visitors were hospitably entertained before and after the match.
