His Honor sat in Chambers at 11 a.m. BI TRUSTEE ACT AND BE COOKE BEYNELL,
DECEASED,
Mr Fereday applied herein for directions.
His Honor said he would look into the matter.

OB 1 CANTERBURY LIMITED. Mr Maude moved on petition for the extension of the memorandum of Association. He said that at a meeting of shareholders in August, 1893, a resolution had been carried unanimously in favour of extending the memorandum. The company had been formed under the Fire and Marine Insurance Companies Act, and its operations had hitherto been confined to its own shareholders, but sufficient capital had now been subscribed to enable it to enter the open market. In reply to his Honor, Mr Maude said notice had not been given to the shareholders, nor had notice of the application been gazetted. His Honor said this was a serious proposal, and the matter would be allowed to stand; over until Buffioient notice had been given j so as to allow the shareholders to object if they wished to, .
