The first winter grain and produce show of the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Society has proved suoh an unexpected | success that it has been decided to continue 1 it to-morrow. Bain in the morning detained, many country people at home, but the day waß fair and the attendance at the show very good. The display of apples was surprising. The Wyndham factory was first for cheese made prior to Jan. 1, the Stirling factory being Becond. The Inoh-Clutha factory took first for 6owt faotorj-made cheese for export, Wyndham eecond. The Inch-Clutha factory had the beat single cheese in the hall. Mr Walter Blaokie, Taieri, was first for butter for export; Messrs J. and B>. Cuddie's (Mosgiel) exhibit was not judged, not being entered in accordance with the rules.
