SELWYN COUNTY COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Selwyn County Council was held this morning; present— Messrs D. M'Millan (chairman), H. W. Peryman, J. Q. Murray, J. Gougb, W. Boag, J. Beanie, W. Dunlop and K. Westenra. The Chairman stated that since last meeting the following correspondence had been received :— From the New Zealand Counties' Association, in reference to the annual meeting to be held next month ; from the Kirwee Domain Board, in reference to the appointment of members; tenders for letting out Lake EUeamere and for leasing reserves ; reports on water-race and plantation matters. The Chairman was appointed to represent the Council at the annual meeting of the Counties' Association. Coneideratton of any recommendations to be made was deferred till next meeting. The tender of Messrs Eoweon and Cooper at £25 for letting out Lake Elleamere was accepted. After water-race and plantation matters had been dealt with, the proceedings terminated.
