Industrial Association. — A meeting of the committee of tbe Industrial Association was held on Thursday evening; present— Messrs H. B. Kirk (president, in the chair), R. C. Bishop, J. Dunan, A. H. Hancock, R. E. M'Dougall, N. Oates, J. L. Scott and J. R, Triggs. The Bub-committeo reported that satisfactory arrangements had been .made to obtain the use of the drillshed, and also suggested extending the Exhibition Committee, issuing circulars to probable exhibitors, and fixing the date of opening the, exhibition. Wednesday, Auguot 28, was selected as the opening day of tho exhibition, a draft circular was accepted, and an extended Committee was selected with power to add to its number, and to meet on Monday, May 27, to form eub-committees for the various branches in connection with the forthcoming exhibition. Messrs W. Edwards and E. Priest were elected members.

Woolston.— The Wesleyan Churoh at Woolston was crowded on Sunday, when the newly-appointed minister, tbe Rev Elliott, preached for the firat time. In the evening mauy. were unable to gain adminsion. Oa Tuesday a " social " was hold in the Oddfellows' Hall, and wss very well attended. Mr Matthew Gimblett presided, and on behalf of the congregation welcomed the Rev Mr Elliott to Woolston. Speeches were given by Messrs G« i'. Smitb, M.H.R., England and the Revß ?I„jA. Dewsbury and F. W. Isitt.
