Tuesday, Maech 19. (Before Mr T. York, J.P., and Mr J. C. Atkinson, J. P.) Drunkenness. — Catherine Brown was fined 5s and costs.— James Lynch, charged with helpless drunkenness, was remanded for a week for medical treatment. (Before Mr B. Beetham, S.M.) Civil Cases.-— Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following cases: —Canterbury Central Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, v. J. A. Hickmott, claim J615; W. Brice v. W. Coggan, £1 2s 6d, costs £1 ; Same v. F. H. Prieat, £2 7s, costs 8s ; Riccarton Road Board v. J. Kinley, .£2 6s 6d, costs ss.— Nind-Ward and Co. v. Mrs J. Stewart, claini .£l9, judgment summons. The debtor did not appear, and she was ordered to pay the debt and costs, J827 la 9d, forthwith, in default thirteen weeks' imprisonment.— Annie Hall v. N. Hall, claim £5 18a 9d, judgment summons. Mr Franks for judgment creditor. The debtor was examined as to hi 9 means, and the cas9 was adjourned till Thursday for further evidence. — Annie Fitzpatrick v. W. J. Sherlock, claim £3 12a, judgment summons. Mr Ritchie for judgment creditor. After some evidence 'had been heard the case was adjourned till March 26.
