Butchers showed a decided disinclination to bid at the opening of the sale, and a large number were withdrawn. The sale opened' fairly well, but aa the demand is considerably in excess of the supply, opening prices are not likely to be maintained throughout. Fat Lambs.— Ah extremely large yarding of fat lambs were only of medium • quality. . Better sorts were not in much demand, and a drop of quite Is pear head •. had to be submitted to where busineas was done. Half-finißhed animals, however, ; held their own fairly well, moßt of them being taken for : rape-feeding by graziers. I Stoeb Sheep.— The store market was ' well supplied .with t'wp-topth croßs-brede and lambs. Although advance in price is apparent there was an improved inquiry.
