Ladies' Champion Tourney. . The following were the results of the play:— Ladies' Championship of New Zealand, over eighteen holes. Game to be scored by holes. The Countess of Glasgow's challenge cup. FOURTH ROUND. Mrs Melland beat Mrs Lomax-Smith by one hole. Mrs Wilder beat Mrs Boyle— 3 up and 2 The game between Mrs Melland and Mrs Lomax-Smith was very interesting and exciting from start to finish. The play of both ladies was exceedingly good, considering the adverse circumstances which they had to contend against. Eain fell throughout the game, and the green was very heavy and wet. The first hole was won by Mrs Lomax-Smith, the second by Mrs Melland, the third was halved, the fourth, sixth and ninth were won by Mrs Melland, and the fifth, seventh, and eighth by Mrs liomax-Smith ; making all square at the end of the first round. Mrs Molland played excellently at the beginning of the second round, and won the tenth, eleventh and twelfth hole?. Mrs Lomax-Smith by good driving won the thirteenth and fourteenth, and the next bole was halved. Mrs Loinax-Smith won the sixteenth, Mrs Melland won the next hole and the last was halved, Mrs Melland winning the game by one hole. The other game was close and exciting np to the thirteenth hole. In the first round Mrs Wilder won the first and sixth holes and Mrs Boyle the Becond and fourth; the third, fifch, seventh, eighth and ninth holes were halved, making the Bcore even at the ninth hole. Mrs Boyle won the tenth hole, the eleventh being halved. Mrs Wilder won the next four holes. The sixteenth hole was halved, and Mrs Wilder thus won with three tip and two to play. The final game between Mrs Melland ' and Mrs Wilder will be played at 10.30 i a.m. to-day.
