A game played on Wednesday between Waltham and Opawa Bchools was won by the. former by eleven points to nil. The match between Albion Third and Linwood Fourth resulted in a win for the Albion by fourteen points to three. Craddoek and Campbell scored tries and Reese potted two goals for the winners. Cook scored for the losers. The members of the Christchurch Association Football Club had their usual practice on Saturday afternoon, when a very enjoyable game resulted. At a meeting of the committee of tho Ashburton Football Club on Friday evening, a letter was read from the Hokitika Football Club, agreeing to make arrange•ii_ea._«toplay at Ashburton in July, and asking what assistance the Ashburton Club could give. It was agreed t. guarantee £8 towards the Hokitika men's expenses. It was resolved to send a team to Christchurch to play East Christchurch on June 2, and to award two free memberships to promising juniors for the 1895 season. „_____-__-__._____
