Riccarton Training Notes.
Tuesday. The weather this morning was an improvement on that of yesterday, and as a portion of the grass track was thrown open, some fairly interesting work was performed. Ben Godfrey cantered once round on the sand, and then galloped a mile and a quarter on the grass at threes quarter psce. Lakeshell covered a mile I and a quarter on the grass at nearly top j speed, and Retina waa Bent once round the I sand track at a strong pace. Teredina galloped the last seven furlongs of one round fast, and Watchword, after accomplishing similar exercise, cantered. Awarua Rose cantered one round, and then covered another at thres- quarter pace, and Black Gioud was sent once round steadily. Golden Fleece and King Wai galloped the last seven furlongs of one round fast, and Au Eavoir covered one round at a strong pace. Eoseguard, who looks big and well, went one round, brushing home over the last four furlongs, and Mise Madge acconv i plished steadily exercise once lounci. Lord | Aaton cantereOi us aid Glen, while War i Dance strode once round steadily, and Artilleur a similar distance Blowly. Strath Braan and Barmby cantered to the sixfurlong post and came home fast, both moving in good style, and Philson, after cantering once round, covered another, the last seven furlongs of which was at a strong pace. Kulnine went once round at half pace, while Cajolery cantered, and Norton was schooled over the fenceß, jumping in his usual accomplished manner. Inez, who ia looking better than she has ever done previously, had Lord of Misrule as a companion in a gallop over a mile at top speed, and Loveshot had no difficulty in defeating Balquither over six furlongs on the grass. Vogengang was led by Lady Zetland once round at a strong pase, and Beadonwell covered a Bimilar distance at three-quarter Bpeed, while Ultimatum, with neck sweaters on, worked twice round at a steady pace.
