o [Pbb Pekss Association.! WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. The Customs revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was .£447,623, as against £436,674 for the corresponding quarter of 1892. Auckland contributed .£104,541, Wellington ,£96,184, Lyttelton and Chrietchuroh .£72,159, Dunedin £9B,733. The return of the quantity and value of gold entered for export duty during the quarter ended Sept. 30 was s— Auckland district 15,7200z, of a value of .£63,455; Marlborough distriot, HOOoz, £4392; Nelson distriot, 4450z, JB1670; West Ooast distriot, 25,7880z, ifi103,153 ; Otagb dißtric^ 18,2250z, total, 61,2780z, of a value of .£245,692. For the corresponding quarter of la6t year the totals were 53,4460z, of a value of .£214,543.
Dramatic.— lt is understood that Mr Walter Howe, -who, for some yean, has been associated with Mr Bland Hoi*, will shortly sever hia connection wifth that gentleman. It is his intention to revisit Christchurch with a firßt-class company. He has already Eeoured the Borvices of some well-known artists, amonget whom is a young lady who is at proaoat a great favourite with Melbourne audienceß. Cavalry Spouts.— The annaal sports of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry will be held to-morrow afternoon, coznmcacing at ] .30 at the encampment, and promise an exoellent afternoon's amusement. Should the weather prove fine the*e will doubtless, be a large attendance. Afternoon tea will be supplied on- the ground.
