French Labour Programme.
The following programme is advanced on behalf o£ the Jabonring classes in a French paper, which advocates :— l. The expulsion of foreign workmen who cut the prices. 2. The transforming of the commercial schools into national pensions, where all the children of the working class will be educated, fed and clothed at the cost cf the State. 3. Creation of retreats for the old, the infirm, the sick, and. those out of work. 4. An eight hours' day, and a fixed minimum rate of wage's. Alldifferences to be settled by vote. S. Immediate restitution of all property stolen by cosmopolitan financiers, followed by the- suppression of the public debt. 6. Suppression of all indirect imposts and octroi duties, and the eSCftbliehmsnt of a graduated Income tax. 7. 0? large emoluments and the augmentation of little one?. The paper draws a pretty picture of the adoption of these proposition-). The French labourer will be exclusively employed on national works, and. he will not permit the foreigner J to work at all unle3B at a wage fixed by himself. . The workman will no longer freeze in the attics in winter, or be roasted in them ia the summer. His wife, having j nothing else to do, will devote herself to re-populating France. She will take her children to school every morning, and then h6r day will ba free until she fetches them at niglit to put them to bed.
