The New Zealand Land Association, Limited, has received the following cable message dated LONDON, Oct. 3, "Wool. — Since the opening of the sales greasy merino, medium and inferior scoured merino, medium and inferior and fine scoured cross-bred are par to fd per lb higher. Fine medium greasy cross-bred are per lb higher. Medium scoured, coarse greasy and coarse scoured crossbred are par to fd per lb higher. Other descriptions are unchanged. The total quantity catalogued to date is 137,000 bales. The wheat market is quiet. New Zealand wheat f.a.q. is worth c.i.f. off coast 27s 6d per 4801bs ; New Zealand long-berried is worth 31a per 4961 bs ; New Zealand average is worth 29s per 4961b5. Babbit skins. — The market is easier. Best descriptions have declined fdper lb since last report ; medium and inferior descriptions have declined fd per lb since last report.
