Pioneer Bicycle Club.

♦ The monthly general meeting of members of the Pionesr Bicycle Club was held at the club-room la.t evening. There was a good attendance, and the deputy captain, Mr Harry Thompson, occupied the chair. It was decided to rent new vooms in Mr Charles Clark's buildings in Cathedral Square, and to accept the terms offered by the Lancaster Park Ground Company for the use of the Park on Boxing Bay. Messrs M. S. Brown, W. F. Waller aud C. G. Mo3B were appointed a sub-com-mittee to confer with the Bub-committee of the Canterbury Eugby Union in regard to the propped new ground. The preliminary programme for tho Club's annual race meeting en Boxing Day was drawn up a3 follows: — One-mile Maiden Roadster Handicap, limit 50yds; Half-mile Dash Handicap, Three-mile Bicycle Handicap, Five -mile Provincial Handicap, Two- mile Eoadster Handicap, One-mile Ladies' Bracelet, Two-lap Blindfold Eace, Two-mile Provincial Championship, Fivemile Bicycie Handicap, Three-lap Consolation Handicap, 220 yds and 440 yds Flat Handicaps. Mr C. G. Moss was unanimously elected Honorary Secretary, and Mr W. H. Langdown was elected to fill the vacancy on the Committee. It was resolved to celebrate the opening of the new club-rooms with a concert, and Messrs D. M. Sandstein, C. A. Myhre and Harry Thompson were appointed a Bub-committee to make the necesaary arrangements. Messrs J. E. Beckwith, F. Denby, T. H. Beckett aud T. Eitchie were elected members. After disposing of a large amount of business in connection with the race meeting on Boxing Day, and passing a vote of thinks to the Chairman, the meeting closed.
