Tuam Street Theatre.

■" thr^And WifHE^ifmfc-" ""' The ßecondweekof the.Holloway season at the Tuam street theatre began last night with a successful production of the sensational drama The Land of the Living, There were several changes in the cast since the drama was played here last October, but the performance was a really good one, and the audience was satisfactorily large . The hero, Gerald Arkwright, waß impersonated by Mr Charles Holloway with due force and pathos in his many vicissitudes. He was well supported in the diamond fields and streets of London scenes by Mlsb Alice Deorwyn as Meg. Mr Henry Willard gave an excellent delineation of the character of Beuben Tredgold, earning the loudly-expresstd detestation of the pit. Miss Linda Raymond was graceful and sympathetic as the heroine, Kale Arkwright. The part of Anthony Arkwright, Gerald's father, afforded Mr Oily Deering scope for a clever piece of character acting, but Mr Coughlan was sometimes needlessly vulgar as Fred Larkins. Miss Eva Jackson was Bprightly and ingenuous as Norah Arkwright; Miss Marion Medway was very Bucceßßful as the voluble and faithful Nuibo Babbles, and Miss C. Nixon made a very amusing Mrs Larrup. Little Daisy, the daughter of Gerald and Kate, was pleasingly played by Mies B. Nixon. The othc^? parts were competently filled. T£_e scenery was very good, but the effesi §f come of the scenes was spoiled by tho ga&< in the auditorium not being sufficiently lowered. The orchestra merits a word of commendation. The Land of The Living will be repeated tcnight, and to-morrow night the farcical comedy Uncles and Aunts will be produced,
