THE NOXIOUS WEEDS BILL.
Important Amendments. [Special to the " Stab."] WELLINGTON, July 25. In the Noxious Weeds Bill the definition of "noxious weeds" has been amended so as to exclude plants mentioned in Schedule B. Amongst these are— Burdock, piri piri, dogrose, American cress, oxeye daisy, Cape weed, Yorkshire fog, dock, sorrel, ergot, wild turnip and burr clovers. , Farmers are not bound to eradicate them, ' but the seeds of none of these will be permitted to be sown, and any person selling hay, chaff, &c, infected with these seeds j will be liable to a penalty. j
