THE AU3TBALIANS IN ENGLAND. rSrsciAii to Pbkss Association,! LONDON, Junb 20. The attendance at the match, Players v. Australians, was good, and the weather splendid. The wicket was fiery. The following are the scores :—'Australians — First innings : Lyons 30, Bannerman 11, Giffen 0, Trott 48, Brace 14, Graham 15, Gregory 7, M'Leod 7, Trumble 7, Turner 12, Blackham (not out) 23, sundries 15, total 189. Tyler took six wickets for 83 runs, Eichardson two for 72, Attewell one for 39 and Davidson one for 14. Players— First inning s Gunn 1, Chatterton 18, Dean 5, Barnes 0 Flowers 13, Lockwood 15, Attewell 2 Davidson (not out) 5, Bichardson 15, Tyler 0, Sherwin 4, sundries 0, total 89. Trumble secured seven wickets for 31 runs and M'Leod three for 58. The Players bad to follow on, and at the call of time had no wickets down for 23 runß—Davidson (not out) 16, Chatterton (not out) 7. Lyons batted with great dash, and never gave a chance. Giffen waa unlucky. Trott rattled up his score in excellent style, but Blackham slogged away merrily, and had a good deal of luck. On . the part of the Players Lockwood played a good innings. Trumble was almost unplayable, and the fielding of the Colonials was splendid.
