THIS DAY. [Per " Stab's " Pigeon Express.] The attendance at the market to-day was fair, but' business was Bomewhat dispiriting. Though the entry was Bmall, it was more than sufficient for requirements. The eale was dull in the extreme, and a good many lines were passed. Stork Shbep. — About 4000 sheep occupied the fat pens, nothing of extra quality | being yarded. A very large number of merinos were on offer, most of which were inferior sorts. The sale dragged considerably, and a good many did not change hands. Fat Cattle.— An entry of 200 head of fat cattle, amongst which were one or two linea of really good ateere, came to hand. ' Prices were well maintained, and all good sorts were eagerly taken. Store Cattle.— Store cattle were in poor supply, the entry for the most part j being made up of weedy young cattle, j The sale was anything but lively for this : sort, but useful kinds sold fairly well. Pigs.— A large number of pigs came forward, the majority of which were good bacooers. These sold well, prime sorts bringing up to 4d per lb. Store pigs and weaners were dull of sale.
