— • — [Per Prxsb Abbogiation.3 AUCKLAND, Junk 21. # At the Supreme Court in" Banco this morning, Charles Edward Madden, solicitor, was brought up for not complying with a previous order declaring him guilty of contempt of Court. Mr Mahoney appeared on behalf of the Law Society, and formally moved that he be committed to gaol. Mr Madden appeared in charge of a sheriff's officer, and said tbat he had no means to pay. His Honor Bald that the order of the Court would be that Mr Madden be committed to gaol for one month unleßß he pay J825, various fees. Mr Madden was removed to Mount Eden gaol in charge of a bailiff.
