The adjourned application of Patrick W. Common, British, was granted That of B. W. Caudwell, Shades, was further adjourned for a week, the GityInspeotor opposing the granting of the application until the work was under way. The application of John M. Walker, Zetland Arms, was granted. Mr Loughrey, who appeared on behalf of, the landlord,, said the caae had been adjourned because a prohibited person had been supplied with, liquor, and a case had been pendiDg* Mr Loughrey argued that it was impossible for a publican to know a prohibited person, who would sometimes go into a private bar and get someone- elseto fetch the liquor. He commended the idea of photographing these persone.
