A Hint.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— lt has been said of many men that they have mistaken their vocation, in proof of which there is a "chiel amangus" who, although a failure in one thing, might have a noble career before him if he could be induced to offer his services to the authorities at Scotland yard, who, il ' they would accept him as a detective, 1 might even unearth Jaok the Ripper. I ' make a present of the suggestion to the ' party in question. — lam, <S,c, L M. LBCOQUB.
