TO THB EDITOR. Sib,—Will you kindly grant a humble man a small portion of your valuable space to express most fervent admiration of that much-abußed, patient, and long-suffering individual, Mr A. B. Worthington ? The evidence publicly tendered is that he may be implicitly trusted now with any quantity of the fair; also that he ie, and always has been, fondly attached to some other man's children. Yet this man, who claims to have attained to the highest region of spiritual "growth" in the " Christ life"— so loving, so gentle, so patient, so true—is found sending away from under his roof the children he has always professed to love 80 dearly, upon the simple and ostensible ground that they refuse to carry the name of Worthington, which, as a matter of fact, never wbb their name, and which happens not to be his name either. If he ever was sincere in his professed love such a reason for parting with the children is a transparent subterfuge, The real truth seems to be that", offended with the course taken by his late accomplice, this forgiving creature shunted the support of tho children on to her aB a punishment. The angel became vindictive. So also, I learn, the, malevolence of this forgiving, "Christ-like" being has been visited upon all upon whom a breath of suspicion rested of having shown the smallest sympathy with the discarded woman who fed, and clothed, and gave to him her all. I am told that believing that to some extent they were only acting up to the " Christlife," the Lady Superintendent of the Kindergarten school, and some other of the teachers (three or four) did show the abandoned woman tome trifling marks of sympathy in her misfortune, when promptly the forgiving, long-suffering, " Oh, co patient/ teacher of truth came down upon them like a thunderbolt and turned them out of the school. A proper subject for sympathy Mr A. B. Worthington is. Malice and epite have been bo utterly crushed cut of his nature that cbere is nought kffc but what is absolutely lovely. Certainly, if " Scientific Chri£tianity" is ever to fiad favour its valne ought to be practically demonstrated, and fha great apoEtle illustrates its regenerating and lofty spiritual influences admirably and mest fully.—l am, &c, ULYSSES.
