[Pbb Fbess Association.] AUCKLAND, March 15. The- Supreme Court is adjourned till pert Monday. The Juzy was discharged to-day, owing to the continued illness of one of the, jurors. A new jury will be empanelled next Monday. The proceedings will be taken denovo in the charge of : wilful murder against Scott. WELLINGTON, Maech 14. In the Supreme Court Sawyer brought an action against Mr Finney, '. painter, claiming £100 damages for a breach of hie apprenticeship indentures. ' Plaintiff stated that his indentures had : eighteen months to run, and that he was discharged for insistinflr on observing' AnQiversary Day as a holiday. For the defence ifc was urged that there was power j to dismisß in the deed, and that as plaintiff failed to give satisfaction it was exercised. The Chief Justice gave a verdict . for damages, with costs on the lowest scale. The slander case of Cahill v. Smart was Btrtibkout. : . ;
