A Shooting Case.

WELLINGTON, Feb. 28,
In the Magistrate's Court this afternoon James Grainge was .charged with shooting at Theophilus George Love. The evidence showed that Love, who had been living with accused's mother (aB man and wife), for eighteen years, had had a quarrel with her and the prisoner, and as she was armed with, an ase, Grainge procured a revolver, and eaya he fired in self-defence. Gtrainge was committed for trial. Bail waa allowed, himself in £150, and two sureties of each.
