Ashburton Borough Council.

The ordinary meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council was held on Monday evening; present — Councillor D. Thomas (io|thg chair), and Councillors Cuthbertson, Paul, Flower, Jones, Sealy, Orr and Duncan.

The Engineer reported that the Works Committee proposed to spend a sum of £30 in repairing the concrete channelling and the drains. They also recommended that foot crossings should be made over the channeUings at Tanored street, Burnet street, and Wills street. These proposals were approved by the Connoil.
