«. [Per Pbess Association.! AUCKLAND, Fbb. 23. The businesa of the University Senate to-day was chiefly of a formal character. It was agreed that for the purpose of statistical information no names should be included of undergraduates who have not performed any academical act for a period of ten years. The .time and place for the next annual session Of the Court of Convocation was fixed for Jan. 4 at Chrietchurch. The Senate referred toa Select Committee the protest of an examiner in surgery against a second examination in that subject. It waß decided that two persons mentioned in the Chancellor's address as having beenadmittedto the matriculation exaaination of last December for the purpose of qualifying for a teacher's D certificate should be reported to the Eduoation Department. The question of admitting to matriculation those persons who have passed the solicitors' general knowledge examination was referred to a Select Committee.
