CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
The visiting delegates and ministers attending the recent Congregational Union were entertained at a boating picnic on the lower reaches of the Avon on Saturday afternoon. The party occupied eight family boats, and left the Canterbury boatoheda soon, after one o'clock, spending a very pleasant afternoon under Mr A. W. Beaven'a guidance;
