♦ THrS DAY. [Per " Star's " Pigeon Express/I Q | The entries, except in cattle, were large, and the attendance was good. Fat Cattle. — There waa a fair entry, composed chiefly of cowb and heifers, very few stores being yarded. The entry met with a decidedly better sale. Prices for best beef ranged from 18s to 19s per 1001 b. Cows sold up to JEB, heifers to £5 10s, steers to £7 10s. Calves. — The entry waa small. Beßt calces wera sold at up to 283. Store Cattle. — The number yarded was small, and all the animals entered were cleared at rates fully equal to those ruling last week. Dairy Cattle. — A rather Bmall entry •was nearly all cleared at prices ranging from £3 to £0 10s. Store Sheep. — About 3500 were yarded ; buyers were numerous, and biddings more spirited than ever. The bulk of the entry was reprecented by cross-bred lambs, which sold readily at from 83 to9i 6d ; aged crossbred ewes, 83 6d to 9s Id ; sound-mouthed cross-bred ewes, 11s 7d; a line of fourtooth forward - conditioned cross • bred wether?, 14s to 14s Gd ; corresponding ewes, 13s 6d ; merino ewes, failing mouthß, 4s 6d. Fat Lambs.— There was a large entry, which included a number of lines of good freezers. Bidding for everything was keen. Beat freezerß brought from lie to 13s 6d ; other lambs Bold at from 8a 6d to 11s. Fat Sheep.— The entry was large, and the demand keen. Pigs. — A much larger number was penned than at any sale of late, and prices were, in consequence, a shade easier. Bacon pigs sold at from 25s to 335, porkers at from 15b, stores 10a to 17s 6d.

Theatre Eoyal.— The Lady of Lyons was repeated laet night, and was as successful as on its previous performance, the principal artists being again and again heartily applauded, and at the end of each act called before the curtain. To-night, Tom Taylor's emotional and romantic drama, The Fool's Revenge will be performed. To-morrow night there will be another change. The season is rapidly passing away, and those who admire good acting should make the moet of their present op* ! portunity.
