Accident to the Ohau.
«. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 29. On a trip from Westport to Wellington -with a cargo of coal, the Bteamer Ohau struck the Beacon Bock, off Jackson's Head, Cook Strait. The tide was running Btrong with the steamer, and as she got in between the rocks and shore it caught her on the quarter and swung her suddenly round, causing her to graze a rock rather sharply. The spot where «he touched seems to be under one of the ballast tanks, bo that the vessel might not leak, although some extensive damage might be done to her bottom. There is nothing to be seen inside with the exception of the cracking of the cement lining of the vessel. The Ohau will be placed on the slip to-morrow for examination.
