SPORTING.
• The racehorses Cissy and Hilda were on board the s.s. Te Anau, which arrived in Lyttelton to-day from the North. They are going on to Dunedin to fulfil their engagements. The Secretary of the C.J.C. informs us that Crackshot's name appears in the list of acceptors for the Newmarket Handicap in error. A telegram was despatched to Melbourne last week, authorising the scratching of Mr Butler's horse for both Newmarket Handicap and Australian Cup.
