Mr A. Morton, Hobart, moved—" That 1 ; Mr James B. Walker, of Hobart, be the , i local Treasurer for the next session of the Association, to be held in Hobart." The motion was carried nem con. The Committee then adjourned to 9.30 a.m. on Thursday.
A meeting of the General Committee of the Association was held at 2 p.m. Sir JHector, President, was in the chair, and eighteen members were present. The President said that, as this was the first occasion on which he had presided over a meeting of the Committee, he would take the opportunity of expressing his thank 3 to the members for hia election as Preeident of the Association, and was I proud that his name would be handed down to posterity in connection with it.
