[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Nov. 27. Mr George Kent has been elected Mayor of Newmarket with 59 votes, a majority of two votes over tbe number recorded by Mr Clayton. In Devonport the contest resulted :— E. W. Allison, 157; D. Mays, 117.
