THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM.
[Special to Press Association."] LONDON, Jdjje 5. Despite their poor start, the tail end o£ the Cambridge Eleven played up well, and nearly doubled the score before the last man was disposed of. The total was 189. A noticeable feature of the innings waa that the whole of the batsmen were caught out, Trumble alone disposing of five in the slips. M'Gregor played a brilliant not-out inning3 of 73 ; Woods made 26, and Sheatfield 34. Turner obtained three wickets for 51 runs, Ferris four for 68, and Trumble three for 45. The Australians on going in lost three wickets for 95 runs, Murdoch being still in with 45. Lyonß made 33. The wicket was slow, but improved as the day went on. [Received June 7, at 12.10 p.m.] June 6. The Australians have lost six wickets for 195 (Murdoch, 73-; Turner, 24, j Tr Barrett, not out, 34.)
