Mardon, viz : — The loan account, showing the pay- ; meut of the whole amount owing ; the parish fete account, which gave a credit-balance of .£35 19s 4d, and the current yearly account, showing an expenditure of £136 3b 7d. The total expenditure amounted to .£836 3s Id, of which amount £493 12s 6d had been raised within the last year. Mr Douglass expressed his pleasure at the condition of the parish finances, which he considered reflected most creditably on those church officers, members and friends whose efforts during the past year had freed the church from debt. He begged to move the adoption o£ the accounts as read, and also that a special vote of thanks be recorded to the donors and workers connected with the liquidation of the heavy debt, which, by their efforts, had been entirely wiped out. Mr P&vitfc seconded the motions, which, were carried unanimously. The Incumbent nominated Mr S. Hayward as his churchwarden. Mr C. Scott was elected parishioners' churchwarden. The following gentlemen were elected on the vestry : — Messrs Bonnington, Bryant, Douglass, Jaggar, Kitchin, Pavitfc, Phillips and Spredbury. Mr W. Mardon was re-elected Auditor, and thanks accorded him for his past services. It was resolved that a letter be forwarded to the widow and family of the late Mr Shaw, sympathising with them in their bereavement. Votes of thanks were then passed to the lay readers, organist, members of the choir and ladies' sewing guild, Sunday School teachers, and other helpers in the church work. After deciding to print the statements of accounts for distribution, and passing a vote of thanks to the Chairman, the meeting terminated.
