Proceedings in Court.

At the Lyttelton Resident Magistrate's Court this morning, Edwin Orpin, aged thirty-three ; George Menzies, aged seventeen; and F. C. Page, aged seventeen, the former an A.B. on board the barque Ivanhoe, the two latter apprentices on board the same vessel, were brought before the Court to answer the charge of rolling the stone down the hill by which the damage was done to the Gas Company's works. Two informations were laid, one charging them with unlawfully and maliciously committing injury to the gasometer and gas works, doing damage to the extent of over £5, and the other charging them with doing damage to the property of H. N, Nalder to the extent of £2.
