[Pbb Press Association.] I DDNEDTN, Apbil 11. ! At a meeting of the Exhibition Commissioners to-day the Judging and Awards . Committee repotted that their work was nearly completed. There were 36 classes, 203 subdivisions, and 107 juries. There were 18 special awards, 1129 first class, 593 second class, 264 third, and 87 com- ; mended. There were 21 protests. An application to keep open for sales at night i next week was declined, owing to the • danger of fire. The result of the anthro- < pometrical bureau showed receipts about ; .£9O, and expenditure .£l4B. It was I decided to present the instruments to Mr Forbes, Curator of the Christchurch Museum, who had organised the court. The President stated that a movement was <>n foot with the Seamen's Union to bay the Concert Hall for a Trades Hall. The 600,000 was passed to-night, the total admissions having now reached 601,006.
