The Bank rate of discount is 3 per 1 cent. Eight hundred tenders were received for the Victorian four million loan, covering .£13.63 3,000. Tender--1 erers at .£lOl 9s Gd get 50 per cent. L The average price is expected to be .£lOl 11s. ' A syndicate tendered for several millions at £101 9s 6d. Banks and ' syndicates tendered largely at lower } prices, with the view of simply swelling the total amount offered. The lowering of the Bank rate of discount from 3k to 3 per cent raised the average price ss. With the exception of a few small outsiders, the highest tender was £102 13s. 3 LISBON, ArEiL 17.
