Davis (Albert Club), captain — Good batsman, cute and hits to leg veil; has played for New South Wales against Victoria on and off for the past ten years ; fields well at point.. J. Josephs — Good field and fair bat. W. M'Olinchy (Newcastle Club}— GoodalL- . round man, fine batsman with sure defence, and first-class bowler with, break from both. sides. A. Newell (Sydney Club) — Excellent bowler, breaks both ways and varies Ids pace and pitch considerably, good batsman and fine field. H. Kobinson (Sydney Club)— -First-class batsman and good field. ' J. Shepherd (Albert Club)— -Fair batsman and will keep the wickets. | G; YouilL (Carlton Club) — Good batsman, | plays clean and hard, and a sure field. j CANTERBUBY. D. A. Aahby (Midland Club}— The veteran, of .'the team, who is batting in splendid' ail-round form this season. Attractive-: j wriaty style. Bowls good ball both fast' and slow, and good field. TL B. Barnes (Midland Club)— Another of the veteran contingent. Bats very eon-* I fidently and very consistently, andscoresi fast if the bowling is at all loose. Bril-» liant fieldsman at short-slip and bowls a little. H. De Maus (Lancaater Park Club) — The youngest player in the team ; bats very correctly and patiently, and iB likely to trouble the opposing bowlerß a lot. Bowls very dodgily with big break, and fair field. A. Harman (United Club) — One of the best bats in the team, but a. trifle nervous. Good bowler and splendid field. E. Halley (Addington Club)— The best bowler of the Province, breaks both ways, and uses his head, always gets wickets. Good hard hitting batsman and fair field. G. H. Helmore (Ashley County Club)— Has been batting very well this season, and scoring consistently. Fine field auywhere. A. M. Labatt (Lansaster Park Club) — One or the best all-round men in the team, bats very well, and does not let off many loose ones. Bowls fast, with off-break and good length, and can field splendidly anywhere. A. E. Moss (Lancaster Park Club) — The fast bowler of the team. Has won his spura thoroughly in the last two Interproviuciale. Indifferent bat and fair field. [H. Ogier (Addington Club) — The keeper of the sticks. Afc times very brilliant, and at others quite tha reverse. Bats very steadily and straight. Good field at point, and can bowl. J. Wheatley (Midland Club)— Fine free bat, and 6corea rapidly all round. Has earned his place by his play this season. Smart field and change bowler. F. W. Wilding (Lancaster Park), Captain of the team— Another veteran, whose long experience of cricket should aesist him in hia duties. Has not been batting up to hia old form this season, but is likely to score well ; good dodgy breaking bowier, and brilliant field anywhere.
