Messrs Dalgety and Co. report as follows:— MELBOUBHE, Nov. 18. We had a splendid wool sale to-day, the ■attendance being large and the bidding spirited. The slightly quieter tone noticeable during part of hut week was entirely absent, and the market was as strong as at anytime during the season. We offered 4000 bales, including several high-class "Western Victorian clips, which were keenly competed for. Our sales by auction and privately were 8900, ranging up to 13 Jd for greasy, 16d ordinary washed, and 19id medium scoured, [Pm Pbxss Association.] DUNEDIN, Nov. 18. A reliable cable message received here from London to-day announces the sale of a considerable parcel of Bank of New Zealand shares three days ago at £13 10s, JBIO paid up. Messrs Nelson Bros, have received the following cable advice: — The mutton market is dull; best quality, 4sd. Beef, hindquarters 4 l-16d, forequartera 3 11-164.
