DUNEDIN, Nov. 18. For the examination for University' degrees -which began here to-day, there - are sixty-eight candidates, ten of whom are ladies. SUTHERLAND FALLS. i Tracks are to be formed to the-Suther-land Falls, and it is-expectcd the one from Milford Sound will be finished early in, January. TRADES COUNCIL. An effort ib being made to form a Trades, and Labour Counoil here, and at a meeting this evening, at whicli eleven trades were .represented, rules were adopted for-eub-j .mission torthe various Unions.
