NEW TOBK, NOT. 17. Jefferson Davis is in precarious health. EOMAN CATHOLIC CONGRESS. The Eoman Catholic Congress ■which has been sitting for some time at Baltimore has decided to hold an International Convention in 1892, when a World's Fair is to be held. A resolution has been passed condemning Mormonism, divorce, Nihilism, Socialism, Commnnisni, the greed of capitalists, Sunday trading, and declaring in favour of the absolute f reedom-of the Holy See as being indispensable to the peace of the Church and -the ■welfare of mankind.
