The New Zealand Meat Trade.
To thoee who some twelve months ago ' searobed the columns of the Melbourne journals for news of New Zealand, only to find that this Colony was treated as almost not-existing, or, when noticed at all, noticed in the most disparaging manner, the extract from the Argus, appearing on our fourth page, under the above heading, ! must indeed be refreshing reading. At length the leading journal of the South recognises that New Zealand has a great future before her r and admits that already she has solved a problem which was practically " passed-" by the fanners and squattera of Australia. Those who have worked so energetically and unremittingly to bring the New Zealand meat trade to the successful point it haß reached do not need the pat on the back they now receive from the Argus, but snoli an acknowledgment of the wiadom of their eaterjouevj martbg-noafrthoAiflß^aa^fa^^^^eßW-'
