THE LOSS OF THE GUNBOAT LILY.

Tho Admiralty haa issued tho following : — " The Board of Admiralty have received with much regret a telegram, dated Sept. 20, from Captain Sir Baldwin Walker, despatched from Bonno Bay, Newfoundland, reporting H.M. gun-vossol Lily a total wreck off Amour Point, Forteau Bay, on the Labrador Coast of Straits of Belleisle. Tho following men belonging to her crew have been drowned: — James Henry Budge, Eobert Love, Samuel " Winsor, A.B.s ; William Coates, gunner, E.M.A. j Vincent Heasy, ordinary seaman ; Walter Edward Mitchell, carponter'B crew - John William Scaly, musician. Captain Sir Baldwin Walker remains at Forteau Bay, in H.M.S. Emerald, salving wreck whilst weather remained fine, and expected to leave to-night, with crew, for Halifax. — Admiralty, Sept. 21, 1889."
