— ♦ x'HE INSURANCES. (Tsb Pbkss Association. J AUCKLAND, Jan. 4. A six-roomed house in Jervois road, owned by Mr Gibbs, and occupied by Frederick Jones, was destroyed by fire . at 1.30 this morning. The furniture was insured for JBIBS in the Equitable; the insurance on the house is not known. Two [ houses adjoining were considerably < damaged.- They were insured for £250 in I the South British, and for £300 in the i Phoenix. The residence of Mrs M'Cann, Cambridge, was burned down yesterday afternoon. The house and furniture were insured for £200 in the Norwich Union. '
