RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.

The plough tracks were a little heavy this morning from the previonß night's rain, and most o£ the fast work, of which there was not a great deal, was performed on the tan. British Lion and Sir Glair were first out, and made two rounds at » fairly strong pace, and were followed by Bavenswing, Parvula and Golden Crest with a smart mile and a quarter on the tan. Half Guinea was sent once round atthraequarter speed, and made another circuit at a slower pace. Strenuous was sweated over four miles, and Adulation went twice round the tan steadily. Maligner cantered a mile and a quarter, and increased the pace foe another circuit, and Chudleigh made one round at half-speed. Helmsman -and Dunheld cantered and spurted, and Dudu strode along at a good pace for a mile and a half. Vandal and Manton made two rounds of the new plough at haf-pace, and Escapade covert 'a mile and a half steadily. Cuirassier and Leopold traversed twor miles and a quarter without being extended, and Corunna did a long slow canter. Merrie England and the Chanty colt were spurted once or twice during two rounds, and Exchange compassed two circuits of the new plough steadily. Son-ota-Gun was sent a mile and a quarter leisurely, and Kepose cantered twice round. The Bribery miy took easy exercise, and Chain Shot and Engagement were sweated over two miles and a half. Enchanter and Lyttelton finished a mile and a quarter fast, and Apropos and Silvermark after galloping a mile at nearly top,, were cantered. Blizzard spurted at the end of a steady mile, and Sultan, with sweaters on, made two circuits of the new plough at a fairly strong pace. Lorraine was sent along at three-quarter pace over a mile and three furlongs, and Rnby and Enchantress negotiated two miles, finishinofast. Waimea and Eaven were at three--quarter speed at the end of two miles, and Irish King went twice round steadily. Equity, Eosebud, and Sykes performed a good working gallop over two miles, and si number of other did unimportant work after breakfast.
