Snow at Burkes Pass.
IMPASSABLE ROADS AND DAMAGE TO FLOCKS. [Special to the " Stab."] FAIBLIE CREEK, August 7. The Maokenzio County Council'B meet ing on Monday lapsed, as only two members were present, the impassable state of tht roads preventing other members' attend ance. Eight inches of snow fell at Burke'i Pass on Sunday. Sheepownors will suffe; heavy losses, as the ground has beei thickly covered with snow for thirty-om d*js, and considerable loss must havi occuired ere thie. About Fairlie Cree! rain has fallon heavily for the last tw< <la_ys, and very little enow is now left ahou the township.
