In the match against the Eleven of England th« Australians made 168 in their first innings, the highest scores being M'Donnell 86, Lyons 32, and Jams 23. The English. Eleven were unable to stand against the bowling of Turner, and the last wicket fell for the small total of 53. The local team therefore had to follow on, and have lost one wicket for six runs. In the cricket match against the Australians, the Eleven of England made only 88 in their second innings, the Australians thus winning by an inniugs and 27 runs.
