The Chairman was authorised to pay the Board's contribution towards hospital and charitable aid out of this. A deputation from the Canterbury Tramway Company waited on the Board with a view to obtaining concessions for continuing the tram line from Heathcote to Sumner. An application from Mr Appleby, for some sand for filling up the old course of the creek on his ecctions on Head street, was referred to the Works Committee with power to act. The Treasurer's statement was then read, and the meeting adjourned.
