FIRE.
INVERCARQILL, Mabch 11. Before daybreak this morning a fiveroomed house, belonging to and occupied by Charles S. Brass, till recently a clerk in the railway department, was destroyed by a fire, which is said to have originated in the casing of the kitchen chimney. , Nothing was saved. The insurances are — South British and Equitable, £50 each oa the house and furniture, .£IOO in all.
