Industrial Conversazione.

CONTINUANCE FOR THESE NIGHTS. The management of the Industrial Conversazione can have no cause to grumble at the attendance at the Taam Street Hall on Saturday. During the afternoon there was a fair attendance, while during the evening the hall was packed in every part. At night there was a promenade concert given, which doubtless attracted a moiety of the large audience that assembled. The Aldington Band, under Mr Pooley's leadership, contributed the following selections : —Overture " Little Gem," " Souvenir Do Meyerbeer," and "The Mikado Walts"; and the Addington Workshops Band selections from " The Bohemian Girl," " The Jubilate PoJka," and a comic selection " Echoes of the Street." Messrs Hanson, Atkins, Dykes, Hayton, and Rowland sang the national song and chorus, " All Hail, Zealandia!" and "The Four Jolly Smiths," the latter of which was encored ; and the Misses Scales and Button and Mr H. A. Adley sang several songs, while Captain Cotton gave two of his capital comic songs, " Bet you a Dollar you Don't " and " Botany Bay," both of which were loudly applauded. Master Kelly gave a fair recitation of "The Colour-bearer." Miss E. Smith presided at the piano during the day. During the evening, Mr J. Jenkins, the President of the Association, announced that, owing to the success of "the Conversazione, the Committee had decided to continue the Exhibition on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 1, 2, and 3, and that the Exhibition will be finally closed on the latter date.
